It was a full day of activities again this year, starting with breakfast at Ebenezer Baptist Church, followed by the march. Your photographer is getting too old to walk in the march, but, wonderfully, a trolley was provided. It was a cloudy, sometimes rainy, sometimes misty, cool and windy day, but that did not prevent a crowd of participants from having a great time together. City officials, representatives from religious organization and non-profits, and members of local universities attended breakfast, walked in the march, and participated in the program. Many vendors and exhibitors participated , again, this year. There was an afternoon full of music and dramatic presentations that are not chronicled , but their appearance and performances are deeply appreciated. FAU and Lynn University received awards for their service to the community. Pearl City was officially recognized as a Historic Place, and DISC was recognized for their extensive work in making that Historic Place designation happen.
