Allen Willis Tribute by DISC & Broadway Dance at Willow Theatre

In 2017, DISC President Allen Willis asked Debra Weiss to start Broadway Dance, a free after school program for qualifying students in grades 3-9, living in Boca Raton, Florida.Dr. Weiss modeled the program on a similar after school dance program she founded and directed in NY for many years.Broadway Dance students learn routines from musicals such as Hairspray, Singing in the Rain, and Lion King. They have performed in the community, at parks, youth centers, and special events, including Boca Raton’s Martin Luther King Day, Jr. celebration in 2018, 2019 & 2020. Allen Willis passed away in 2018 and a special tribute performance was given by DISC and Broadway Dance at Willow Theatre in Boca Raton in October.
