Over the past two decades, Habitat for Humanity has built homes and completed
neighborhood revitalization projects in Pearl City and Lincoln Court. DISC member John Brown volunteered with Habitat on projects in the community, and over the years the relationship between the two organizations has remained strong. DISC has provided meals for college students volunteering with Habitat during their spring breaks and has included Habitat in the Dialogue Group process. At the 2020 Martin Luther King Day celebration, DISC presented the Humanitarian of the Year award to Crystal Spears, Director of Neighborhood Revitalization at Habitat For Humanity South Palm Beach.
